The USAG Junior Olympic program has been the traditional route for competitive gymnastics (Levels 3-10, and elite). Junior Olympic gymnastics is extremely regimented and time consuming, offering little flexibility of skills performed or for the athlete that has other interests or time constraints.
The new track of Xcel is wonderful because it gives many gymnasts the chance to compete while still being involved in other sports or activities. Xcel is less regimented than the JO program, but an excellent way for young athletes to continue skill development and experience competition.
Xcel is made up of 5 competitive levels (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamon) and Bay Aerials is happy to host one of the largest and most successful Xcel programs in the Tri-Cities area. Xcel athletes compete in several meets though out the year culminating with State and Regional Meets.
Bay Aerials has programs for a various age and skill levels including High School athletes. All classes are taught by our Safety Certified Instructors and with our Bay Aerials Teaching Difference, focusing on positive reinforcement.
