Gymnastics has played a role in my life for 32 years. I have a husband John, and daughter Samantha who is 13 years old. I am constantly reminded of why I love Gymnastics. Every day I am excited to share my experience and expertise with one of the best programs in the country. My love for children and learning is something I am very proud of.
Bay Aerials will provide you with the greatest opportunities for your children to grow. The Staff at Bay Aerials will share their knowledge and encourage gymnastics to be fun. We will provide a fun, positive atmosphere with gentle encouragement to challenge. This will promise progress and most important, higher self-esteem.

Lisa Aguirre
After completing her Full ride Gymnastics Scholarship at San Jose State Alise finds herself in her second homeā¦the gym. Bay Aerials is fortunate to have a four-time San Jose State University Scholar-Athlete and Academic-All Western Athletic Conference (WAC) honoree for top-notch work in academics and athletics competition, the health sciences major plans to seek a master's degree in pubic health. Alise was a diver for the Spartans' swimming and diving team at the start of the 2009-10 season. As a gymnast, Alise was one of San Jose State's top performers on the uneven parallel bars. She earned second-team All-WAC honors her senior season. A 9.800 was her lowest score in her last three college meets. A a three-time state champion in club competitions before enrolling at San Jose State. She credits the time management skills she developed in high school at Archbishop Mitty with her academic success. After she finished her college athletics career, she could be seen in the Gadway Center near Spartan Stadium offering help, support and advice to student-athletes. Alise can be found every day at Bay Aerials gymnastics lending her skill and knowledge to young girls aspiring to match and/or exceed her achievements in the sport. Alise coaches Hot tots, Future Team, and our Competitive Team.
Allie grew up as a Bay Aerials gymnast between the ages of three and fourteen. She competed through level eight and trained as a level nine. Her love for the sport drew her back to the gym and she rejoined Bay Aerials as a Happy Feet and Olympic Program teacher from 2005 to 2007. Allie then moved to Santa Cruz to earn a Bachelors degree in Sociology, and later a Masters degree in Education as well as a California teaching credential. Through college, Allie was involved with the gymnastics club at UCSC and competed at the NAIGC national championships in 2009. She is so excited to return to Bay Aerials and share her love of gymnastics, fun, and learning with everyone in the Bay Aerials family!
Stephanie has coached gymnastics for 8 years now. She did gymnastics from a young age and in High School she competed in cheerleading. Stephanie coaches all ages in gymnastics and has also worked with sports recreation programs including Basketball, Dance(Jazz), Softball and Vollyball. Her favorite event in gymnastics is bars! What Stephanie loves most about teaching is how every single child finds a way to put a smile on her face. It gives her a reason to be a complete goofball! Stephanie loves working at Bay Aerials because everyone here has made it her home away from home.
Toni has 2 wonderful kids , and a husband who is a PE Teacher and Varsity Football Coach. While keeping sports in the family Toni is Bay Aerials Front Desk Extraordinaire. Toni attended school in Minnesota studying childcare development with four years experience as a preschool teacher. Her favorite thing about working at Bay Aerials besides the "Great Staff" is being able to see her former preschool students walk through the front door with Giant Smiles!!
Katie, was a competitive gymnast at Bay Aerials, Katie brings to Bay Aerials program a calm, efficient, and loving style of teaching while coaching her classes.
She is our # 1 Level 2 teacher! While Balance Beam was her favorite to compete, Katie excels in coaching all of the Olympic events
Katie has been involved in gymnastics at Bay Aerials for 10 years. She loves being involved in this very difficult competitive sport. She loves working with kids because they keep her youthful!! Gymnastics is her passion because there are so many goals to achieve, it pushes your limits. She quotes "Bay Aerials pushes each child to do their best and achieve goals." Katie can teach any class at our gym and runs our Special Events, Parents Night Out, and Birthday Parties.
Stacey has been coaching at Bay Aerials since 2008 but has known Lisa since her first days as compulsory gymnast in 1995! Stacey is a 2-time national competitor, 3-time Region 1 Champion, and 5-time NorCal State Champion. She was recruited by Cornell University and moved to New York where she studied Biotechnology and Business. At Cornell, she was a 2-time USAG All-American and became Cornell's first National Beam Champion. She was a 2-time recipient of the Jill Ryer Leadership award, served as team captain her junior and senior years, and was named one of Cornell's top 25 senior athletes. As a coach, Stacey shares her experiences as a student- athlete. She stresses the importance of accountability, overcoming obstacles, and balancing school and sports. The most rewarding part of coaching for her is seeing the eagerness and excitement of gymnasts to learn new skills and reach their goals. Outside of the gym, Stacey works full time and spends the rest of her time with friends and family. She loves sushi and sleeping in on Sundays. Fun Fact: Alise and Stacey were club teammates since 1997!!!
Stephanie trained at WOGA Gymnastics in Plano, Texas from 1997 to 2004 and competed as an international elite gymnast from 2000 to 2004. As a member of the Junior National Team in 2000, she had the opportunity to represent the USA at a competition in France and went on to compete in Ukraine and Russia in 2002. Stephanie had her best meet as a senior in 2004 at the National Podium Meet in Madison Square Garden, finishing 4th All Around.
Her transition to California started in 2004 with a scholarship offer to join the Stanford University gymnastics team, for which she competed from 2004 to 2008. After completing her Bachelor of Arts in International Relations studying abroad in Moscow, Russia in the fall of 2008, Stephanie made the decision to move back to California and make it her home. She coached Lisa's daughter, Sam, to the Level 5 state title on balance beam in 2009 and currently coaches future and current team. As a coach, she strives to balance rigorous, technical training and lessons in discipline with positivity, fun, and lessons in teamwork.
Matthew is an extremely active individual that has been challenging himself to take everything to the next level for as long as he can remember. He began his gymnastics training at the age of four at this very gym, and competed nationally until his teenage years. Soon after he stopped competing, he began his first coaching job here at Bay Aerials Gymnastics and coached for both the boys and girls programs for more than four years before leaving to study abroad in Japan. Matthew loves working with the youth and finds that the greatest reward that comes with his job is seeing students' skills progress and being able to help them grow not only as athletes but also as people. Aside from gymnastics, Matthew also teaches breakdancing and can often be seen practicing his skills throughout the gym. He is very excited to return to Bay Aerials Gymnastics and get back to teaching kids about all the amazing things that they are capable of doing!
Coach Tommy

Tommy played soccer for 14 years, and baseball for 14 years. He also played basketball for 3 years. He enjoys teaching because he likes to see the joy on our athlete's faces when they master their skills and develop through their experiences. They have a great time learning and having fun, and he enjoys being part of their experience. Kids are a blast to coach because of their endless energy and their eagerness to learn. it reminds him of his own action-filled childhood. Gymnastics adds to the fun because of its difficulty and the variety of activities we have for the kids. The atmosphere at Bay Aerials is great, the kids make new friends, and they develop skills that will remain with them for years to come. Bay Aerials has all the tools they need to develop as a gymnast, and the kids will never forget the memories the make here.
Mackenzie competed up to Level 6 in artistic gymnastics and Level 10 in rhythmic. As a rhythmic gymnast Mackenzie competed in the United States National Championships and was one of the top 20 rhythmic gymnasts in the United States . As a coach, she has coached two rhythmic gymnasts who made the Future Stars National Training Camp which is the equivalent of the TOPS A Camp in artistic gymnastics. She also coached the Level 5, 6 and 7 State Champion in rhythmic gymnastics. In addition, Mackenzie has choreographed over 40 routines for rhythmic and artistic gymnastics. Mackenzie comes from a gymnastics family as both of her parents competed and coached in the sport. When not coaching, Mackenzie is a student of Ohlone College .
Shelly is currently an engineer at Texas Instruments, in Santa Clara with a remaining passion for the sport of gymnastics. She was a competitive gymnast throughout childhood and the beginning of college. She then coached and directed two competitive teams, including junior olympic levels 4-9 over the next 12 years. Shelly is also a rated norcal judge. Now having two girls of her own she is only teaching a small amount to stay in touch with the sport. She loves engaging in young children and building relationships with them and the parents. What Shelly loves about gymnastics is the camaraderie and life lessons, as well as strength and motor skill development. Her favorite thing about Bay Aerials is the positive and rewarding environment!
Francesca was a Level 10 gymnast from Byers Sacramento. She competed 3 years at level 10 Junior Olympic Nationals. She received a full ride gymnastics Scholarship and competed All-around for Arizona State University. Francesca is currently continuing her education while sharing her knowledge and passion of gymnastics. At Bay Aerials she can be found playing on the trampoline and teaching all levels of our program. Francesca is currently coaching our Level 3 and 4 Junior Olympic Team. Her favorite color is pink, favorite event is bars and her favorite food is chocolate chip cookies.
Richie grew up in a gym in our fabulous world of gymnastics. He competed gymnastics for almost 10 years and his favorite event was rings. He shares his passion for gymnastics as he coaches every level class in our program. His great big smile, good nature, and positive teaching style can easily be seen and felt when you meet him. Richie attends CSU East Bay and is majoring in criminal justice. He is excited to be in our gym while pursuing his career in law enforcement.
Krishna has been a student herself at Bay Aerials Gymnastics. She currently is a High School gymnast and shares her love for the sport while teaching her level 1 Cartwheels classes. Her efficient, calm, and caring manner can be seen and felt when you watch her teach. Krishna also loves to work our Parents Nights Out!
Naomi has been a gymnast for 10 years with her biggest accomplishment of 1st AA Varsity at High School MVALS meet. Bay Aerials is where she grew up! She is excited to coach kids just like she was coached when she was young. Besides teaching, she is a hardworking high school student who enjoys Japanese singing and dance. Naomi defines role model when she teaches at Bay Aerials. She might be a Hot Tots specialist but you will find Naomi working her hardest everywhere.
Noa is an actress by day, and a gymnastics coach on the weekends! She loves working with children because its challenging and incredibly rewarding. Noa teaches the Happy Feet Program, and is the favorite Parents Night Out Leader! As an extremely busy Senior, Noa loves to share her enthusiasm of having a good time learning in our positive setting. She is a busy Senior in high school with an acting career in the works.
Jennie has been a dancer since she was 3 years old. She loves teaching because she gets to see even 3 and 4 year olds accomplish new goals every week. Its why she loves teaching. She loves Bay Aerials positive and fun environment. Jennie teaches our Happy Feet Kids, and Level One. You will also see her at Parents Night Out and at Camp!
Jessica is a nursing student at San Jose State University. She is currently a diver on the swimming and diving team at SJSU. Prior to diving she was a competitive gymnast. She loves how energenic and fun spirited the kids that she teaches are. Jessica says it is so rewarding to see how much her girls improve on a daily basis. Her favorite thing about Bay Aerials is how fun the atmosphere is and how great all the staff are!
Thomas loves to coach kids, teenagers and people of all ages. He enjoys seeing the progress being made from the first day he met them. Thomas strongly believes in the saying, "It's not where your're from but where you're going". He has taught kids from all over the Bay Area in break-dancing and acrobatic flips and was fortunate enough to teach people in his home country of Myanmar (Burma). He feels right at home here at Bay Aerials because it was where he landed his fist ever back flip during his teenage years. he is constantly inspired by the youth here at Bay Aerials and wants to teach and inspire his athletes to be the best individuals and athletes they can be. During his free time he likes to play music, explore the great outdoors and having fun arguing with his older siblings.
Danica is currently a gymnast and plays basketball, and volleyball. Danica loves kids because they are so much fun and are never serious. They always just want to have a good time, like her. She loves tumbling and the dance. Danica loves how easy skills look when you acccomplish them even though they took forever to get it. She understands about hardwork and the payoffs. She loves all the "pink" and all the coaches at Bay Aerials.
Ashley is a coach for Happy Feet Gymnastics Program and Level 1 Cartwheels. She is also our top notch Special Events Coach...Camps...Parents Night Out. Ashley plays softball and has done some high school gymnastics and basketball. She loves seeing the kids smile and have a good time when they are learning new gymnastics skills. Ashley feels there is nothing better than flipping and twisting all day long! She claims "Bay Aerials is the Happiest Place on Earth!"
Lizzie coaches boys Level 1, girls Level 1 and classes in our Happy Feet program. She has played basketball, volleyball, track and field, dance, gymnastics, cheerleading, powderpuff football and soccer. Lizzie loves to teach kids new skills and have fun with kids. She always makes kids smile and have a great time at gymnastics. Lizzie also coaches our Camps and Parents Night Out. Her favorite thing about Bay Aerials is the positive environment and happy attitudes of all the coaches.
